POCTA Requests CMS/NCCI Update Medically Unlikely Edit for New CPT Code for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea Testing
June 23, 2026 – POCTA submits request that CMS update the medically unlikely edit (MUE) from one (1) to three (3) for CPT code – 87494 – for multiplex amplified probe tests that detect and report individual results for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
